A test process that generates two signals representing a primary source signal and it’s Nth harmonic at a lower voltage level. The two signals combined are designed to simulate harmonic distortion of a sinewave signal based on the Frequency and Volts RMS of the primary frequency and HarmonicFrequency and HarmonicVolts of the second signal.
This test is used to test the accuracy of a distortion meter or other similar device.
Required Parameters
- Frequency – Frequency of the primary signal
- Volts – Volts RMS of the primary signal
- HarmonicFrequency – Frequency of the harmonic/second signal
- HarmonicVolts – Volts RMS of the harmonic/second signal
Optional Parameters
- Impedance – Output Impedance (50 Ohms assumed)
- UUT.Input – Input Name of the UUT Connecting Point
Output Value & Uncertainty
-
- Percent – % of distortion or THD
- Distortion Level – dB
