Metrology.NET® now supports the 8588A Reference Multimeter. Within two weeks of our customer receiving their 8588A, we had the standard fully integrated into Metrology.NET®.
While developing the driver for the Fluke 8588A, I was surprised at its wide range of functionality. What I was most impressed with was its ability to measure up to 30 Amps. I remember my days as a calibration technician while calibrating power supplies having to constantly add a shunt into the mix because the 3458A can only read up to 1 Amp. Another interesting feature that was exciting to develop was utilizing the 8588A Digitizer capabilities; it was like being able to use an oscilloscope to view waveforms.
